Regener-action

A Sud and Collettivo Mixité promote and organize in Rome the final event of the European Union funded project “COMPASS - Competitiveness for Agencies for Sustainable Site Conversion”: a day dedicated to urban regeneration and the dissemination of project results.

On June 16th, at 10 am, a round table will be held in Rome at Sala della Partecipazione in San Lorenzo neighborhood to compare and share analysis, methodologies and bottom-up experimentations. Together with university teachers, professionals and activists we will reflect on the role of interdisciplinary competences and how a bottom up regeneration of public space can turn urban critical issues in participative and active citizenship processes. Compass final products such as the Compass course curriculum and the methodological guidelines for the replication of our interdiscinary course will be presented.

From 17.00 we will move with citizens and experts to Largo Settimio Passamonti for a participatory workshop. Participants will be invited to freely move around the park in order to discover the area and to record personal sensations and perceptions. All the suggestions and proposals will be gathered together during a collective mapping workshop aimed at starting a participative regeneration process of Largo Passamonti.

The day of event will also be the opportunity for italian course participants to meet with the Compass team and the stakeholders invited. Compass course certificates will be delivered in this occasion.
